Science Zone UK offers a vast array of services, with 4 income streams -

School and educational centre visits – The business has excellent relationships with many schools and educational centres, providing science shows led by trained presenters. School services include coding and robot building, Planetariums with dinosaurs and space, fizzy science, Luminous science, and arcade gaming creation, to name a few. The workshops cater for children from age 5.

Science Zone – A fun and exciting activity centre based in the centre of Bournemouth. Science Zone has a sensory room, dinosaur den, fossil shop and main workshop area. Activities include planetarium shows, fossil digging, science experiments and Lego workshops and private parties to name a few. The premises are leased on a fixed term basis with a rental of £22,000 per annum, plus a £2,000 service charge.

Code Ninja - In 2020 our client embarked on a Code Ninja franchise. The franchise provides education in coding and game building, to STEM and robotics. The franchise is still within the early stages, however, is proving to be an excellent addition to the company. Code Ninja works on a subscription model, with customers subscribing monthly. The franchise fee is 12% of the subscriptions which are retailed at £60 per calendar month. Code Ninjas subscription target is 100 members, currently in the region of 65 now (as of June 2022)

Planetarium Service - Science Dome U.K. headquarters is based in the Science Zone and this sister company is offered as part of the sale. It is a U.K. wide science outreach visiting schools, clubs, nursery setting and public events with a planetarium and 360 degree immersive projection dome. We currently have domes based around the country from London to Leeds servicing local schools allowing in the range of 500 schools per annum to be covered. School programme of over 20 different shows includes dinosaur shows and under the sea in addition to the planetarium. Fully licensed content and market leading owned planetarium software (Digitarium) allow creation of different shows. A range of public events are completed including outreach in, for example, shopping centres, university ball events, festivals, museums, local authority events with licensed outside planetarium domes. We have a team of science presenters around the U.K. in place.
