Hilton Smythe is delighted to present to the market Safe Hands Homecare & Upstairs Downstairs, a very well established and respected person centred support/cleaning company.
Safe Hands Homecare & Upstairs Downstairs was established by our clients in 2010 and is reluctantly being sold due to ill health.
The business has always had and maintained a 5 star rating on Derbyshire Trusted Trader.
They have had service user and Citizen Leader representation on the Derbyshire Stakeholder Engagement Board.
Safe Hands Homecare & Upstairs Downstairs is a company that provides Person Centred Independent Living support and low level services (Everything apart from personal care)/Cleaning company.
They have established themselves not only as a service provider to assist people to be able to maintain living in their communities and own homes but also as an engagement partner through Co-production with the local authority. They have representation on Derbyshire County Council Stakeholder Engagement Board (DSEB).
The business is owned by two staff shareholders and run with existing staff. It is a co-production ethos company with clients involved in tailor made new services creation. Co-production is a ‘key’ way of working involving stakeholders and clients to achieve positive outcomes.
The business was recognised as a good model for working practice and we received a letter from Right Honourable Eric Pickles at the time.
The company is divided into 3 parts -
Safe Hands Homecare - Safe Hands Homecare provides an independent living support service to clients of all ages. They provide in-home and in community services for clients and their relatives, maybe as a regular call or as respite breaks for carers. We are advised the majority of the current workload is carried out for Upstairs Downstairs services.
Currently 35 Clients and two on waiting list (waiting list has had to be stopped due to reaching current staff capacity).
Our clients identify they run the business at a scaled down operation due to their needs. Any new owner will have the instant opportunity to increase the number of clients catered for and as a result very quickly increase turnover/profit levels.
The business does not currently advertise anywhere as all work simply comes from recommendations only. Our clients have built a very strong relationship with Derbyshire County Council who would gladly increase the number of new referrals if the business had the capacity to undertake the increased workload.
