CoGoGo welcomes to the market Cidershed Books Ltd, T/A Tiddly Pomme. Tiddly Pomme gift shop was established by our client in Sept 2007 and is now offered for sale due our clients wish to retire. The renowned business has appeared on Countryfile, featured cookery programmes and is an award-winning member of Camra. They were the first shop to open in the newly refurbished Brogdale Market Place and specialise in artisan ciders (including choice of gluten free and sulphite free) local beers, wines and spirits as well as being the only all year round stockists of the Brogdale Juices. There is a excellent range of gifts, cards and books including chocolate, apple cider vinegar, candles, jams, honey (from north Downs), pottery, jewellery, local artwork and prints. In addition to the retail business, our client is also including their ‘Woolly Pig’ Brogdale Craft Cider business which runs many events in conjunction with Brogdale Farm as well as other events across the county. Woolley Pig is made in the centuries old, rack and cloth method and is authentically Kentish in character. The result is a light wine like cider. The name comes from the butcher of Brogdale’s first pet Mangalitza pigs, as they would help to get rid of the leftover pomace so we're an integral part of the cidermaking team. The cider is decanted fresh from the barrel into 2 and 4 pint containers in the shop and by the glass at food festivals and events in the south east. Our client previously enjoyed a Calendar of festivals using their bar equipment serving over 7000 litres of cider a year. Each litre costs £1 to make and retails at £2 per litre. Our clients will offer a full handover of this side of the business or if the purchaser just requires the gift shop business, our client will continue to make the cider and supply only. Our client also offers cider making courses on. Brogdale Farm, 5-6 times a year at £250 per session which they would be happy to handover to any new buyer also. Our client informs us 5% of sales comes from the cider,60% from wines, ales, liqueurs, spirits and juices, 30% from giftware and 5 % from books and cards. Brogdale Farm is set within 150 acres and home to The National Fruit Collection, the largest collection of fruit trees in the world. There are 2,200 different varieties of apples alone as well as pears, cherries, plums, quince and other bush fruits, first established by Henry the 8th. The famous orchard attracts visitors from Europe and the U.K. With coach parties, regulars, festival enthusiasts and shoppers, from which the business benefits. There is a packed festival programme from April to October as well as a popular Xmas market event. There is a large secure carpark.
