About The Hire Company
The Hire Company offers a wide range of catering equipment and furniture for hire. This is the only company in North Wales that offers a “one stop shop”. Whether its tables, chairs, crockery, cutlery, glassware or table linen, the hire company is best suited for weddings, parties and corporate events.
Based in Anglesey, the Hire Company is easily adaptable and well suited for expansion.
Currently being run from the leasehold shop in Pentraeth, the business could easily be relocated. However, should you choose to stay in North Wales, you would benefit from its exceptional local reputation, where the business is popular with local brides, hotels, event planners are marquee companies. The Hire Company was established 11 years ago, and is now being offered to the market due to genuine retirement. We had the pleasure of talking to Mr Arwel Hughes, the business owner about his experience and decision to sell the business.
Arwel: “As the only hire business of its type on Anglesey and North Wales, we have an open access to the market – with no competition, providing a one-stop shop for all our customers. This puts us in a fantastic position- we’re the only company to provide tables, chairs, fridges, freezers, BBQ, crockery, cutlery, glassware, table-top items and white linen tablecloths .. the list goes on. Arwel: “Having passed the retirement age, our children have been persuading us to retire, but because we enjoy the work so much, we just wanted to keep going. When we finally agreed, we must say the transition has been very easy. We both decided to sell, and that was it! Hilton Smythe came highly recommended, which is why we chose them as our selling agent.”
Arwel: “I’d say that the appeal of the business is in its ease of operation. When you’re providing everything a customer would need for an event in one place, it makes the process run much smoother. Working with the brides has been very easy, and thankfully, we’ve not met any bridezillas! Our Website, Google and Facebook has provided us with a great many leads, – including “I’m a celebrity- get me out of here” and several film companies. I’d want whoever is buying the business to know they’ve got a ready-made business. It’s well established, has a strong reputation, and it includes the whole package – the van, trailer, all the stock, and the lease on the shop as well as lease the 3 containers – if required. Finally, we have a great many weddings booked well in advance!”
