Research Analyst

Elle Louise Grimes is a Research Analyst at Hilton Smythe, specialising in market research, financial analysis, and deal facilitation. She identifies prospective buyers, manages NDAs, and advises clients throughout the M&A process.

Elle graduated from Durham University and gained experience through an Investments & Asset Management internship at AJ Bell. She then transitioned to Mergers & Acquisitions, working as a Research Analyst before joining Hilton Smythe.

Elle has worked on deals across various sectors, ranging from £200,000 to £9 million. Her key skills include market research, equity research, and financial analysis, which help her connect sellers with the right buyers.

Elle values Hilton Smythe’s integrity and teamwork, ensuring clear communication and strategic advice for clients throughout the sales process.

Elle observes a strong demand for established businesses with growth potential and advises sellers to ensure their financials are in order and be realistic about valuations.

Outside of work, Elle enjoys spending time with her three dogs, socialising with friends, and going on long walks. She’s also an aspiring astrophysicist at heart.
