Family run ice cream parlour is hoping to be scooped up by new buyers. The owner of a family-run ice cream parlour in Doncaster is going on the market as current vendor, Amtziant Kamar, plans to have more time to dedicate to his busy family life.
The sale of Addiction Desserts on Silver Street, Doncaster, concludes three years of success, selling and delivering desserts including smoothies, gateaux slices, ice cream, cheesecakes and hot drinks.
The family run ice cream parlour hoping to be scooped up by new buyers is the brainchild of both Mr Kamar and his cousin, Jermaine Ahmed – who helped create the business name, which is based on addiction to sugar and ice cream.
Currently run by Mr Kamar, three members of staff and a delivery driver, Addiction Desserts has built up an excellent reputation, maintaining a loyal customer base of predominantly home delivery orders from its website.
The vendor bought the building when it was empty and fully refurbished the ground floor. The premises include a service counter, tables, chairs and soft furnishings, ice cream display counter over main servery, dessert storage units, customer toilets, kitchen area with a walk in refrigeration unit, fridges and freezers, a separate office and store room with access out to staff toilets and vendor parking outside.
Mr Kamar, owner of Addiction Desserts, said: “It is a shame to be selling the business as it is becoming increasingly popular with a lot of repeat customers and I am sorry to let them down. It has been a great experience and I am proud of our success, but I know it is the right time to take time for my family now.
“When we bought the shop, we invested a lot of time, effort and money into it, fully refurbishing it and producing a range of delicious desserts available for delivery. It soon built up a fantastic reputation, which I hope lives on, and I look forward to see what the new owners do with the shop.”
Gareth Smyth, CEO of Hilton Smythe Group, said: “Addiction Desserts has an enviable reputation and is in a great location. The premises are in excellent condition following its refurbishment by Mr Kumar, providing the new owners the benefit of not needing to work on the premises.
“The business offers the opportunity for the new owner to benefit from huge growth potential with a proven track record of a fun environment, delicious desserts and a high volume of repeat customers.
“I wish Mr Kamar and his family the best and hope they can enjoy spending more time together and it is a privilege to be able to find the perfect new owners for the ice cream parlour.”
Business Broker Hilton Smythe is marketing the independent dessert shop at £59,995 +SAV.
